Tourism in Serre-Chevalier, in the Ecrins National Park

Serre Chevalier resort stretches over some 15 kilometers and includes the beautiful Art and History city labeled of Briançon, the villages of Chantemerle, Monêtier-les-Bains and Villeneuve, as well as a constellation of small mountain hamlets. Serre-Chevalier is also an extraordinary area to discover in spring, when the snow melts and reveals landscapes of striking beauty. The authenticity of the small hamlets, the splendor of the lakes, where the snow-capped peaks are reflected, will delight hiking enthusiasts and all nature lovers. In summer, you can also practice many sports: mountain biking, canoeing, rafting, trail running, via ferrata, etc. Not to mention the skate park, the bike park and the climbing courses of Villeneuve.

Serre-Chevalier resort has also a rich heritage: you can visit the beautiful city of Briançon, attached to its rocky peak, and whose fortifications, built by Vauban, are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The village of Monêtier-les-Bains also hosts an extraordinary heritage, in the Saint-Pierre chapel : the Museum of Sacred Art, one of the richest in the Hautes Alpes.
