Serre Chevalier resort, called «Serre Che» by familiars, stretches along the Guisane valley , over 15 kilometers, from Briançon to Monêtier-les-Bains. Luc Alphand, a Serre-Chevalier native, gave his name to a track that is very popular with all its fans. In Villeneuve, take the Casse du Boeuf chairlift: 3 kilometres of slopes for a 900 metres drop.
The most sporty will start on the highest slope of Monêtier-les-Bains: the chairlift of Les Vallons takes you from Villeneuve towards beautiful red slopes that go trough the larch forests. For the more adventurous, the Yret chairlift drops you at the highest point (more than 2800 meters). Monêtier-les-Bains is undoubtedly the wildest area, which offers striking views over glaciers and perfectly preserved peaks. It is also the one that offers the largest field of off-piste, for the most experienced skiers.
